Salaried GP, Colne
Colne Medical Centre, Brightlingsea
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Salaried GP to join our friendly team on a part time basis, 2-4 sessions per week.
Become part of our friendly GP Team managing a busy, interesting clinical caseload spread over the populations covered by Colne Medical Centre, ensuring the highest standard of care for all registered and temporary patients. You will carry out all the duties reasonably expected of an NHS general practitioner using the standards expected by the GMC and RCGP in line with appropriate national and/or local guidelines.
In accordance with the Practice rota, as agreed, you will make yourself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery, telephone and electronic consultations and queries, visiting patients’ homes, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a time fashion.
You will be able to make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other care workers within the organisation, assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. and screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, you will develop care plans for healthcare needs, following all Practice, NHSE England guidelines as appropriate.
About you
You will have the following qualifications:
Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
Be on the NHSE medical performers list

The Colte Partnership is an at scale-partnership, formed in June 2017. It brought together 9 local GP surgeries across Colchester and Tendring, serving approx. 98,000 patients. With the combined workforce, skills and knowledge, we are in a unique position to assist our patients across the county.
As well as General Practice, we offer Extended Access appointments to enable all of our patients to access medical care at evening and weekends (participation in our Extended Access Service is at your discretion); we work collaboratively with external agencies to provide in home services and Social Prescribing; we are working to be at the forefront of Clinical Research; and have many more exciting ventures on the horizon.

There is a wide socio-economic and demographic served within this area which will provide an interesting and varied case mix. You will be joining an enthusiastic team of clinicians and administrators. You will be well supported with on-going professional development (training support, CPD and peer support). The role will contribute to the improving quality of care of our patients across the network of practices.
