Salaried GP, Tiptree
Tiptree Medical Centre
Tiptree Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP to join our practice on a fixed term contract. This role is offered on a part-time basis, for 4-6 sessions per week on a 1 year contract with flexibility on days and hours.
Tiptree Medical Centre is situated in the village town of Tiptree and serves Tiptree and its surrounding areas. They have a list size of just over 12,000 patients. The team includes 2 GP Partners and 7 salaried GPs, with 4 Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), 4 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs, 2 Clinical Pharmacists and 1 Pharmacy Technician, as well as the practice manager, administrative and reception staff.
You will be part of the GP team managing a busy, interesting clinical caseload spread over the populations covered by Tiptree Medical Centre and ensuring the highest standard of care for all registered and temporary patients. You will carry out all the duties reasonably expected of an NHS general practitioner using the standards expected by the GMC and RCGP in line with appropriate national and/or local guidelines.
In accordance with the practice rota, as agreed, you will make yourself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery, telephone and electronic consultations and queries, visiting patients’ homes, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
You will be making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other care workers within the organisation.
All applicants should have the following qualifications:
Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
Be on the NHSE medical performers list
and skills, including:
Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services;
Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date;
Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety;
Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.
